Wine Simulation

This project was created using Houdini and Nuke.


Taking real-life footage as reference, I constructed a 3D wine glass inside Houdini. A thicker container served as a collider for the particle system that was created right after. The VDB workflow was used to convert the particles into a mesh.


Extra attention was paid to the shading of both the wine and the glass in order to achieve the right look. Rendered with Mantra.
